Looks like your school has failed you in teaching English.
Looks like it's also failed you in quality of projects assigned.
Anyway, think for a moment: WHY did Gates go to Africa? WHAT was he doing? HOW did he get involved with Africa?
Answer those question, and you'll figure out WHERE to search for your answer.

I suggest you get a copy of Strunk & Whites Elementary Rules of Usage (of the English language) before you try and write that report.
You might get graded an A or B for a change if you do.
Or pay attention to how your educators speak and not some some punk in your neighborhood.
