Without a doubt Winthrop. A small school most people havent heard of. They have a very good big man in Bradshaw and spread the floor with shooters like Michael Jenkins and Torrell Martin. They have defeated a good mid-major in Missouri St. and have played a lot of teams closely. They lost to North Carolina 7 but led almost the whole game and lost to Wisconsin in Wisconsin by 3 in OT. They almost beat Maryland as well. Therefore, they are a huge sleeper that has a good chance of making the Sweet 16 and if they are making there 3's they could go Elite Eight. And now seeing where they are seeded, they have a good chance of making a deep run into the tournament.

After Vanderbilt lost to Arkansas on Friday I think they will really surprise many people in the NCAA tournament. Many people think that vanderbilt can't win the big games but that's not true. For instance, they beat Flordia and knocked off a number one team, and they have beaten kentucky for the last four games straight. They also Beat Tennessee with a buzzer winner. With leaders like Derrick Byars,Shaun Foster, and Dan Cage on the floor it's hard to count vandy out. I think they will be very focused on the court when that first round game comes.

Maryland is hot right now, so they could surprise some people.
But 2 teams from smaller conferences could really shock somebody: Winthrop and Central Florida. Central Florida has won 22 games when no one expected anything of them. They gave Memphis a good run for their money in Conf. USA. And Winthrop has been playing great all year, but most of the country doesn't know who they are. I think they'll make the sweet 16.

This is a very good question and very debatable. I could see arizona upsetting Florida in the 2nd round of the NCAA and going to the sweet 16 if not the elite 8.

Texas A&M.
As good as they are, they are still flying under the radar. Nobody seems to give them a chance yet they keep on going. Acie Law is arguably the best PG in college and definitely underrated, even after one clutch performance after another. The team as whole also plays as one of the best defenses in the nation. If any team, they are one to watch out for come tourney time.

The best team in the tourney is going to be university of Oregon. There senior guard, Aaron Brooks, their freshmen shooting guard, Tejuan Porter and the guard that thrashed USC, Bryce Taylor will be a tough match for any team in the dance.

Long Beach State--they average the most points of anybody in the NCAA, 3 guys who can easily score 20 a game.

A bubble team that gets in will make it to the sweet sixteen. Maybe like a Alabama or Mississippi State from the SEC.
