Art is art and it doesn't matter who produces it. You are wrong in your judgement, although its true that some muslim fundamentalists would oppose painting of animals or human beings. But the vast majority of muslims do not share such views, particularly if we realise that the Qurán has no reference to such prohibition.

That said, we must also remember that art doesn't have to be painting of animals and human beings. its wider than that narrow understanding of art.

In conclusion, I do not believe that the museum in Abu Dhabi will be restrictive as you appear to suggest or question, neither in the objects of art nor on the faith of the artits. The people and authorities of UAE are well known for their liberal understanding of religion and personal faith.

All the best!/.

Islamic laws on art are not enforced in most islamic countries.
Besides that, Islamic art knows a rich history of paintings containing depictions of humans and animals (just look at persian-islamic art)

the Louvre will exhibit non-muslim art, otherwise it wouldn't open there.
