You can buy drops for Swimmers ear which prevents water from blocking your ear. 1st, try tilting your head to the side, put your ear in the water and push the palm of your hand against your ear and remove as if you were using a plunger to unblock a sink. If there is still water in your ear after 10 minutes of coming out of the water, try putting a small drop of olive oil in your ear, this should make the water rise to the surface. Usually, after drying your ear when you are out of the pool, water soon disappears. You can also try warming the ear with a hot bottle. I know it doesn't feel very nice when there is water in your ear but there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I use a medicine bottle that has an eye dropper. I fill it with rubbing alcohol. I use 4 or 5 drops in one ear then tilt it to the other side and let it run out and put 4 or 5 drops in the other ear and then tilt it to let it run out. It works every time. Gets the water out and then the alcohol evaporates, also keeps them from getting infected or swimmers ear.

Shake your head like a maniac / wet dog. There's also a product on the market that is easily obtainable called "Swim Ear"-- don't be thrown off by the name, it doesn't give you an ear infection. It's mostly a solution made of rubbing alcohol that dries quickly in your ear and evaporates any water that may be in there along with it.

It was suggested to me by my doctor when I was making numerous visits for recurring ear infections during swim season. It works, in my experience.

generally i tip my head to one side and hit the other ear... wouldn't reccomend it though...

Generally water in the ears will just trickle out (and it feels sooooo good when it does lol) but if you wanna speed it up you could try blow-drying your ears... or shaking your head ... jumping up and down ... or standing on your head... I hate to admit it but I think my method works best... (that, or none of the above work but you might happen to be doing one of them when the water does fall out and you'll feel even better cause you'll think you made it come out by doing it - then you'll have a little ruitine you can do everytime you go swimming :D)

Good luck!
