I don't want to get another gift certificate and I'm sure they could use new things.

How about a diaper cake filled with all the neccisities the new baby will need?? (Infant Tylenol, Teething Gel, Gas Drops, Receiving Blankets, Bath Products, Pacifiers, Lullabye CD, Story Book, Cute Stuffed Animal, Personalized Onesie, etc!!!)

I make these....and am very reasonably priced. You should check out my site. I really think diaper cakes are a great gift to give....memorable and USABLE!!! I specialize in custom cakes that match the shower or baby's nursery decor.....check out my site, if you like!!

What I really appreciated were things that I used on a daily or very frequent basis....it saved me on many trips to the store when I was so sleep deprived from feedings every 2 - 3 hours and being up all night.

I really like the bathtub idea and filling it up or you could get a small toddler-sized wicker laundry basket and fill it up with the following

1. Newborn size diapers or size 1 diapers (diaper rash cream also...I suggest A&D ointment)
2. Newborn gentle or sensitive skin baby wipes
3. Mylecon Gas Drops (HUGE lifesaver to have on hand especially at 2:00a.m. and the baby has gas and there's no store that is open!)
4. Infant Tylenol drops
5. Nasal aspirator, even though the new Mom will be sent home with one an extra is nice to have in the diaper bag
6. Little trial size bottle of 50+ SPF sunblock as yes, babies can get burned even in the car with the sun shining in and summer is just around the corner
7. Car Sunshade for the passenger rear window
8. Infant nail clippers
9. Teething Rings
10. Baby shampoo
11. Baby Bath (I recommend Huggies Extra Sensitive for newborns)
12. Baby Lotion
13. Infant washcloths
14. Hooded Towels (I personally never had enough!)
15. Newborn or 0 - 3 size white socks (those puppies get lost so easily in the wash due to their size....you can never have enough)
16. Burp Cloths
17. Lap Pads (these are a lifesaver for when you hold a newborn so you don't get your lap soaked due to a leaky diaper)
18. Bibs
19. Q-tips
20. Receiving blankets

diapers and wipes i know this sounds dumb but when i had my third child i was greatful for all of those diapers and wipes and if someone get the same thing hey it's fine because you can never have enough of those and if you want you can make like a gift basket no problem

get a large clothes basket or one of the new child's pop up hamper if there is a theme for the baby's room
put some wipes a newborn size diaper and then like the next size up diaper too maybe a bottle of baby wash bottle of lotion and some 4 oz. bottles maybe a small stuffed toy and your set

i think the only thing i never got at my baby shower was crib sheets if the baby is a girl maybe some hair pieces

I always appreciated diapers, wipes, soaps and lotions. New onsies were nice too especially since old ones can get worn out. Anything personalized is nice too. I like the idea of getting something small for the other two siblings. This way they may feel involved and not left out. Many people probably don't think of that. A small gift for mom is nice too. If you have the funds.

presents for the other two instead of the new baby , whom will be getting all the attention.how about a gift certificate, indicating you will hang out with the other two for the day after the baby arrives.

Personalized gifts are always welcome. If they know the baby's sex, that would help in the shopping process. I normally get a disney baby gram which can be personalized with the baby's name and birthdate...in this case a projected month and year would suffice.

How about a silver frame to be monogrammed after the baby is born?

Either a vasectomy for the guy or a tubal ligation for the mother. Just my opinion.
