Each fish has their own characteristics. Some are just more comfortable at certain levels. What kind of Pond fish?
You haven't noticed color changes? Reddened or blackend gill plates?
If it is a new fish and/or has always done this I don't think there is much to worry about. I have some that prefer to be on the bottom and some that like the surface.
Keep an eye on your fish and if anything else pops up, post again.

Some fish do especially females when they are getting ready to spawn. Keep and eagle eye out as you may have visible small fry in a month or two. Also some fish if a different species than the others can be isolated from the others.
I kept pond fish for years and I was never aware of anything untoward with the fish that did swim on the bottom. The only other thing if it is still cold some fish will prefer being on the bottom on the pond when it's cold.

If it is sinking he is probably dying, if it swims to the bottom it probably prefers the warmer temp. at bottom.

Sinking is swim bladder disorder and I don't think you can cure it.
