Can somebody who has got negative results from an HCG test 20 days after ovulation be pregnant?

There is no more reliable test than a blood test. If the HCG count blood test says neg, than you are not pregnant! There is always next month!

Blood tests are the best test available. If you had a negative test 20 days after ovulation, you're probably not pregnant. Blood tests for pregnancy are almost 100% effective, however they must not be taken until 14-21 days after the suspected day of conception.

Well if they do the blood test to early then yes that can make it negative.

not likely, blood tests are pretty much 100% accurate.

yes i had that done said neg two weeks later i took an hpt and it was positive went to the doc and she confirmed it...
