is this a joke or a question? if its a joke then a rooster knows when its day when the other rooster wakes him up. if its not a joke then the answer is that its not that they know its just that thats when they wake up every day. just like we all have our routines of when we wake up(sometimes no), waking up is a part of there routine, then waking us up comes next.

when thay see light.if you have outside light or bright area it can also encouage crowing.you can wait untill after dark.shine your flashlite directly at the rooster an he will also crow.it was fun once
