U can use video downloader. U can either paste the link of the video from the youtube on the webpage given below. Or u can download a small addon for mozilla firefox also found on this page. It's up to you! :)

to download the videos or whatever you want from youtube, you can use www.youtubex.com . when you download, rename the file with the extension ".flv" . after that, you can use RIVA FLV ENCODER to convert your file to avi or mpg (in the space for DESTINATION VIDEO FILE, just change the extension .flv to either .avi or .mpg).
