Yes you could be pregnant. If you are breastfeeding it could be used as a form of birth control, but you have to do it every three hours during the day and 4- 6 hours at night and then its only 80% effective. I would mention that you are worried at it at your 6 week check up. They won't get mad that you didn't wait six weeks to have sex, just maybe disbelief you didn't use some kind of birth control. Its so hard to tell because your period isn't really normal at this time. If you've already gone for your 6 wk appt. I'd take an at home test this week. If you're not pregnant get on birth control:) Good Luck!

Yes it is very possible, and no where near unlikely to become pregnant this soon after giving birth, especially if you have been sexually active. The normal time to wait before having sexual intercourse is normally 6 weeks after delivery. I don't know if your doctor told you that. But having sex any sooner does increase the chances of becoming pregnant again as well as cause some infections because your body hasn't fully healed. Not saying this happens all the time but is likely and does happen to alot of women. You will probably want to consult your physician to have your check-up is around that time anyway.

I suppose anything is possible and I have been told that after giving birth you are at your most fertile - but I guess you will only find out for sure when you have tested...give it a few weeks before you test...I also have a friend who has two boys - ones birthday is beginning of February and the other end of November - of the same year..

well your probley not pregnant and it takes up to 3 to 4 months before your normal period comes back. I wouldn't take a HPT b/c it could tell you are pregnant but your not , the reason of that is that you just recently had a baby and some of that pregnancy hormone from your last baby is still left in your body. When you go back in for you post check up let your doctor no and they will give you a pregnancy test then if it shows that you are they will probley make you do a blood test. good luck

It's possible. If you haven't had your 6 week checkup with your ob/gyn, as him/her to do a blood test. Otherwise, just get a home pregnancy test with 2 or 3 tests in it and test yourself every 3-4 days or so. Good luck to you and your new baby(ies)!

Yes it is possible. That is why we tell women not to have sex until their 6 week post-partum check-up. We usually start them on birth control at that visit.

Remember, you will ovulate first. If you don't get pregnant, then you have your period. So if you ovulate today, you'd get your period in 2 weeks...unless you're pregnant now.

The doctor asked if I had had sex so he could prescribe me with birth control pills I told him we had unprotected sex he drew blood and told me he would call me and let me know if he called in Rx when he called the nurse said congratulations.

It is possible, but if you are breast feeding your baby you may not have a period until you are no longer breast feeding. My first baby I breast fed for 7 mos., and I never had a period, and I am still breast feeding my 2 1/2 mo. old and no period yet. If you aren't breast feeding it is very possible, and you should take a test.
