It is called pacemaker to ensure uninterrupted heartbeat to those people who have had heart problems, including surgical treatment. Possibly, it has something which can go wrong when exposed to microwave!

A microwave becomes an intense heat very quickly. Old ones that have the sludge of the ages in them are toxic and should be thrown out to the nearest dumpster. I don't have one in my home or want one which may sound odd but its worth it to me.
