It all depends on how hard you brake and how often (some people always brake, others use their gearbox to slow down or take their foot off the accelerator). Best thing to do is take your wheel off and look to see how much brake is left, if you can't, then judge it by how well your brakes are performing and how low your pedal is. If your pedal goes to the floor before braking, you need new ones! Plus, if your brake discs are warped (heavy braking causes it), you will probably feel a judder when braking, especially when braking hard.
There isn't a set time and with no indication of whether the brakes have been changed in the vehicles life, this is the best advice I can give!

You are probably close. It depends on Driving Habits, City or Country Driving, Weight of the vehicle, Loaded Weight of the vehicle, Weather also will play a role here. I know of two extreme cases where one car never left the city. It needed brakes at 10,000 miles. The second one was a business man who traveled out of town on mainly freeways, It went 100,000 miles without needing brakes.

Theres no real answer on that it depends on the driving of the car but thats a good bit of milage and its a heavy vehicle so it could be due a set anyway just bring it to a garage and they will check the lot for you.

Depends on how you drive and the quality of the brakes themselves...
Heavy brake use, approx 4,5,6 "Disk" months...lite brake use, 10 or more months...even years...
"Depends"

depending on your braking habits. If you hard brake they need changed regularly, if you brake easy thenn they will last longer. Listen to your S.U.V. it will tell you when it is time for you to change your brakes
