I AM VERY SURE that i have the right driver. Im also sure im downloading the right driver for my OS , which is windows vista home premium.

hate to be the one to give you the bad news , but this is just one of the many hair pulling issues with vista , vista is rapidly shooting it's self in the foot . at this point all your going to be-able to do is roll the driver back to the xp and wait

Here we go with Vista problems.... It's VISTA'S fault it doesn't recognize your driver. It's TOO SOON to update to Vista, people!!!

Did you run the Vista Upgrade Advisor BEFORE you updated, and if so, did it tell you that it WAS in fact compatible with EVERY device / driver on your PC???

Get in touch with Ms.. it's the only way you could get some help.

Advice: go back to XP. Hope you didn't delete the backup files on your HD.
