Yes it is understandable that these buildings were brought down later by controlled means, I myself could see it at that time and expected the Mayor or Governor of New York to actually say that they did it to prevent further deaths. For years the Government knew of Terrorists plans and attempts to destroy those buildings so it is understandable that the Gov. could have placed the explosives as a back-up plain in case they were damaged to a degree where they would probably fall side ways later and cost more lives and destroy more property. I believe that if it was necessary and they explained it that way then the public at large would most likely understand. If it wasn't necessary and they did it then there would be all Hell to pay.
