Download and install Ace mega codecs pack.

Its freeware and is available from the site below.

This will enable you to play any type of media file on your computer.

if you want to play those .avi format clips on your computer, and your computer doesn't play it, it's because you don't have the right codec (go to http://filehippo.com, onthe right, top box, download the k-lite codec package, it should fix your problem. this is the fastest way to fix it.

another route is convert them .avi files to wma or any other format, you would need a video converter. There are a lot of them free in the internet. to go http://download.com and search for them. longer way to do it, but workable.

dont be silly...any pc should be able to play an avi file... what are you trying to launch it with? stick to windows media player, im preferrences theres an option box, select play all types of media..

dont use winamp as it locks up
realplayer works as do many other standalone products

goto download.com and have a looksee... thru the square window.... *( sorry i couldnt resist a playschool joke)

Simplified Universal Player and Encoder. It's the most universal converter around. Get it here:

It's totally free! And also malware free.
