In May. Where would you recommend we fly to? I have the choices of only Paphos and Larnaca. And where should be go? I don't want to go to a really touristy area. Going for about a week. As much info as possible would be really great. Thank you!

cyprus is a great place and either paphos or larnarca are really good .i think larnarca is a bit more touristy and phaphos has more culture but thats just a personel opinion .ive only actually been to larnaca and the resort of protaras which i really enjoyed and i would really recommend hireing a car and exploreing and go to nicosia its fascinating .the weather will be fantastic and cyprus is very british and also very greek .

Both are touristy. My friend & I stayed in a villa in a small village on the outskirts of Larnaca - close enough to the beach / far enough away from loads of people and it was lovely. We hired a car for a few days and visited Nicosia (well worth going to), Paphos (fantastic mosaics at the ruins plus great tombs nearby), the Troodos mountains (lovely little villages where they make lace) plus other places along the coast. If you want to travel about, Larnaca is more central....and the touristy area is away from the main town.

Been to Paphos and Protarus. Paphos is closer to a town than Protarus. Protarus was close to the beach tho and was nice, and only a bus ride from civilisation. Paphos has some nice evening stuff going on, but nothing too busy. Protarus is more out of town.. both were nice.

Went to Paphos March 2006. Great place loads to see. Great choice of restaurants didn't have a bad meal anywhere. our fav bar was the Robin Hood the staff were really friendly. Just beware of time share if they come towards you just keep walking

we flew to larnaca and stayed in protaros,it was absolutely beautiful.theres so much to explore.we never had one bad meal,lovely people and the trudos mountains are breathtaking,the little villages on the way up show you the real cyprus.and its cheaper to buy things up there.have a good one

Go to the Amathus beach Hotel. BEAUTIFUL...we go there every x-mas on vacation....and in may it will be even more gorgeous...
