Not at the moment, they made dune 2000 the game but then went back to writing books.

No there wont be a sequal film but there is a tv movie called children of dune made by frank herbert also the tv movie series of dune is out also i have the dvds and there much better than the movie anyday as it explains a hell of a lot more the whole series is 6 dvds long

One of the most underrated films ever made it should be a classic
but try the made for TV series Dune and Children of Dune they a really good and well worth watching

The Sci-fi channel has already done 2 mini-series based on the first three books in the original Frank Herbert series. I don't think there are any plans for another mini-series or a sequel to the 1980's movie.
