Use either Ccleaner or Winpatrol to control your startup programs as they use plain English and icons; leave Windows and your security software alone.

If you want to speed up your pc then swap Foxit PDF Reader for Adobe PDF Reader, its only 2 mb (compared to 20mb).

It really depends on what program does and if it performs a critical function. What I recommend you do is go to www.processlibrary.com and look up the files in your start up. That site will tell what program is associated with a particular file and weather or not it should be running. If for some reason a particular file is not on the site don't get frustrated, if all else fails do a google search...

You could uncheck all except the superantispyware cos the rest waste precious time on booting up and not needed to run in the background.

Hi Mate,Dont stop 1,2,3,4,5 or 9,everything else you can stop from starting up..hope this help,ps if you find something is not working properly go back in and unclick them one by one untill you find the source of the problem..steve

I urge you to exit from Msconfig as you can cause more damage than good if you are unsure of what you can do.
