As a meteorologist I have always loved these storms - the rain, the lightning, and especially the thunder. I have an enclosed screened in porch on which my wife and I spend a great deal of time in the summer months reading, listening to music and enjoying the summer storms of Maryland.

I use to like bad weather but not anymore, I've just seen to much of it over the years, I use to hope for hurricanes when I was a kid, so school would be closed, I've been through a F5 tornado a CAT 3 hurricane, a super blizzard in 1978, many storms and near misses, over the years, believe me I don't feel the same about storms anymore. and to those that do,I say be careful for what you hope for because, you might just get it, sooner than you think.

Love 'em...to an volume. distant thunder, wind, overcast skies and lifelike rain, i visit protect. utilizing in that type of climate with the perfect music in all fairness lots heaven. yet the position I stay, summer season time thunderstorms can look downright apocalyptic. a continuing strobe of lightning, window-shattering thunder, biblical parts of rain...it may get rather scary.

Love 'em. In my last house we could sit on the porch in relative dryness (not always) and watch these torrential rainstorms.
