If the pain doesn't appear to come in cycles (i.e. at a certain time of the month whether that is close or far away from your period) then it's definitely worth getting checked out, as it sounds like you could have PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) which causes pain irregularly.
Things your doctor will ask you are "Do you have painful periods", "Is this new or have you always had pain", "Has it got worse or better recently". The fact you have bleeding between periods makes me think that it is unrelated to your actual menstrual cycle.
Please go and see your doctor - try not to be embarrassed. Just think how nice it will be when it is all sorted and you don't have pain, irregular bleeding or any other symptoms.
Good luck

The breakhrough bleeding could be down to your method of contraception...this can happen with some types of pill, so if you are taking something, google it and read up on side effects etc to put your mind at rest. But if you are also getting abdominal pain get checked out by your GP to rule out endemetriosis etc...if it is anything like this then it's best caught early. Don't get too worried though because low abdominal pain could be something as simple as trapped wind which can be excurciatingly painful so don't start thinking the worst before you get checked out. Good luck.

Could be an std, possibly chlymadia. See doc or get test from chemist. Could also be pelvic inflamation, due to a number of things. Get checked though because any of the above can lead to infertility later and also increase your chances of cervical cancer.. Good luck.

It could be that you have p.i.d, pelvic inflammatory disease, and the need to be checked out by the doctor. If you don't it can cause other problems, like infertility
