Yeah you can do that with no ill affects or you can carry on with the next packet and just miss the period out all together

It is ok to do that once in a while xxx

You can do one of two things to 'move' your period:

1) finish the packet you are on and just move straight on to the next without a break

2) finish your packet early, have your seven day break, then start a new packet

There are pros and cons for both: with (1) you don't get a period at all this month (sounds good!) but you run the risk of spotting or small amounts of bleeding near the end of the second packet, simply because your body has continued to produce a blood lining without expelling the first one - this will depend on how heavy your periods are normally. with (2) your body may take an extra couple of days to respond and so you may have your period when you didn't want it anyway, and depending on your body chemistry the change may make you feel quite emotional even though this will settle down again when you begin to take the second pack.

Personally, as an OB/GYN medical student, I would choose to finish my existing pack and start my next one straight away.

Good luck, and have a good weekend!!

That's a very risky way to go. It would be better to continue to take the pills for longer than you usually would and reschedule your period that way. Speak to your doctor about how to do this with your brand of pills.

Many women take the pill continuously for several months to skip periods and have done this about as long as there has been a pill. However, stopping too early in a cycle instead could allow you to ovulate and have no protection. If you insist on doing this, you need to use an alternate method of contraception until you are a week or two into your next pack of pills, and preferably two methods, like condom and foam.

I urge you to speak with your doctor about altering your doses of anything.

I dont think you are protected if you miss out pills but as said before you can just move onto the next packet which will mean you dont get a period at all!

LIKE SOME OF THE OTHER ANSWERS HAVE SAID ' CARRY ON THE NEXT PACKET WITH NO BREAK' THIS WILL RESULT IN NO PERIOD. I WAS ADVISED TO DO THIS FROM MY DOCTOR WHEN I WAS GOING ON HOLIDAY BUT DONT DO IT TO OFTEN..WHEN I DID IT I WAS FINE FOR THE FIRST 2 DAYS BUT DID FEEL QUITE SICK ON THE THIRD SO DECIDED TO STOP TAKING THEM,I FELT MUCH BETTER THE NEXT DAY.

all of you who say to skip to the next months pills are in for a bad month eventually . ive known four different girls who have done this and after a while they all ended up with a period that lasted a month or longer. for all the number of periods skipped to cause this were different but at least one of them was told by a doctor that the skipped periods were the cause of the extended one

Just start the next pack and miss it all together. I have actually heard a doctor say this to someone who was going on their honeymoon.

The best solution is to gain control over it. As someone already said, stop when you're getting there and relax. Pay more attention to pleasuring your mate--orally, perhaps--and avoid rubbing your penis up against anything while doing so. It will take work on your part and patience on both parts. As a last resort, some antidepressants curb sexual functioning with the intention of learning the pleasure of restraint after which you could taper off them. Here's your goal: the longer you can delay your orgasm, the more intense it will be. So it isn't just a matter of satisfying your mate. This is the main reason some claim stoned sex is better, unlike drunk sex which can leave you unable to perform (brewer's droop). You enjoy exploring each other longer. And remember, oral isn't just one place. It's all over, paying particular attention to kissing, and TALK about what each of you like. Strange how people don't talk about sex when they're the ones doing it.
