The mainstream media widely reported that Romney had a distant ancestor who was a polygimist. Yet they did not report that Obama's father was a polygimist. Check out the London Daily Mail to read about Obama's family. Why wasn't this considered newsworthy by the American press?

Are you crazy? There are many things about some conservatives that don't reach the mainstream media. Like Joe Scarborough and is dead assistant who was found dead in his office in Florida. The media didn't report that and he was a conservative Republican. At that time they were going after Gary Condit, a Democrat, only one Florida newspaper reported Scarborough's dead assistant. I've seen many mainstream media like CNN or MSNBC go after Democrats and some liberals.

I'm no Obama apologist by any stretch, but I would have a hard time believing anything the London Daily Mail had to say. That's like getting your news from the National Inquirer...

I noticed that, too. The media is staffed by liberal leaning activists. They often report in a biased way without even realizing it. The intention for most every journalism student is to "make a difference". Of course their intention should be to observe and report. So they become selective in what they report or how they report it.
Their influence is waining. Most of the young people today are media savvy. The media monopoly has been shattered by the Internet.
The days of the big news networks controlling what you see and how you see it are numbered.
