my english teacher gave us this assignment to write a persuasive essay about the vikings,and i was going to write about the festivals, but i can't find anything anywhere! please can you give me some ideas?

Ancient Viking festival recreated
Traditional celebrations dating back to the Vikings will mark May Day on the Isle of Man.

A battle between the Queen of Winter and Queen of Summer is the highlight of the Manx May Day "Laa Boaldyn" event at the Cregneash Folk Village.

The seasons' fight is based on an old Norse custom, which died out more than 200 years ago but is being revived by Manx National Heritage.

"Laa Boaldyn has its origins in the Celtic calendar, although the battle itself is actually a Norse custom which was absorbed into the traditional May Day celebrations of the Manx people," said Nicola Tooms, assistant curator for Manx National Heritage.

Plenty of Manx May Day crafts and activities will be on offer including making "Crosh Cuirns" - rowan or mountain ash crosses which were traditionally hung in Manx homes to ensure bad spirits and mischievous fairies were kept well away.

There will be demonstrations of traditional Manx cooking, as the May Day feast is prepared, and an opportunity to learn about the history and customs of May Day.
