You have raised an interesting issue. I cannot tell you when this will happen, however I'd like to share with you an intriguing fact.
Think about the world from the medieval times and until now.
Back in those times, Europe for example was divided into tiny rival principalities, or domains, ruled by a Vassal. During the years, these little domains formed larger kingdoms. Only during the 18th-19th century, nations were formed. During WWI and WWII, some kingdoms united and formed rival alliances like Germany and Japan VS US and UK.
Today, we experience expansion which leads to rivalness among civilizations - Western, Islamic, Chinese and so. Today you Can move freely amount the European countries and behaves more like a federation.
Will all humans unite under one civilization - the "human civilization"? I cannot tell you. This may happen if we'll be at war with an alien civilization.

Its going to be a very long time before the barrier can come crushing down betwen Country/State etc., as far I presume there wont be such a happening take place in the very near future- as we all are build with selfish motives, our aim maybe the same but we look through different angles with different perpective in our everyday pattern of lifestyles -Ayesha Ahmed

These barriers were not created to encourage diversification but to encourage progress of mankind inducing a competitive environment. Just like we have different teams in sports. The authority takes care that the ethics of sportsmanship are followed. However in case of the mankind, the superior authorities left it to us to choose each and every rule for the competition.

People who fail to contribute towards progress argue about barriers, while the rest are busy contributing...

Let us look at the three basic systems contained in living beeings:

A living being requires adaptation to the changing
conditions of external and internal environment. French
physiologist Claude Bernard proposed the law of
Homeostasis which states that constancy (or stability)
of internal environment is a necessary condition for a
living being. It uses it's internal autonomous
regulation systems to accomplish this task. Mental
attitudes connected with selfishness come under this
catagory.

It may be noted here that the very logic of 'constancy'
prohibits development with time required for a living
being. In feedback control systems of Electrical
Engineering, existence of a negative component is a
must, and it is used as feedback to obtain automatic
control of a system. Accordingly, development (or
growth) should be called a 'disturbance' (or deviation)
of constancy, and it is programmed in the genes of a
living being for continuation of the species. The law
of deviation of Homeostasis was developed in 1979 by
Soviet physiologist V.M. Dilman. The basic instinct for
sexual intercourse comes under this catagory.

If these two fundamental laws are of opposite nature,
then the biological system requires a balancing
mechanism. This mechanism is called Metastasis
(metabolism or vital energy) which ensures harmony and
optimal working of all processes in a living being.
The quest to use mind comes under this catagory.
Among all living beings, it is most developed
among humans.

Since these three basic sytems are univeral in nature,
the very logic enables it to groups of living beings.
It is like this. The group Homeostasis is that which
tries to preserve the cultural aspects. We know that
a group of living beings having only in-breed for millenea
gets weakened. In humans, it works at the sub-conscious
level to have some cross breeding. This comes under
the law of deviation of Homeostasis. After higher psyche
of groups develops to higher levels, the third law of Metastasis
which aims at harmony of all groups comes into being.

The Indians have this higher consciousness as evidenced
by the ancient texts on higher philosophy and Yoga.
They are also the only people who say about higher
concepts like Vasudha Eka Kutumbam (the world is one
family), Loka Kalyaanam (for the spiritual good of all
in the world) and Sarava Maanava Soubhratutvam (all
humans are brothers).

The literacy level in the world now is very high compared to
that in 1950. The availability of books on wide range of topics
is also very high now. It is knowledge that leads to mutual
understanding.

Some Indian astrologers have predicted that, in about
two decades from now, all people in the world will realize
that they belong to one human community. They will prove
that humans can transcends the limitations of other living
beings.

Almost impossible.

Humans like to have a sense of belonging (as do all social animals) whether that is to a football team or a country.

Your question would lead me to believe that you think this is a "bad" thing. I agree that if it leads to friction then it is bad, but I think there is something healthy in belonging to a social group of like-minded individuals. It fosters friendship and togetherness, something that is very difficult to achieve on a wider scale simply because of geography and distance.

When dogs stop peeing on trees.
Seriously, Man will not because it is part of self preservastion. It is part of the human psyche. To go further would require several college courses to understand and explain, for which I am not qualified.

Totally agree with you.Nationalism is very passe. It has no place in today's globalised & internet dominated world. It has no plus points. Creates separation & feeling of hatred for different people & cultures.
How to achieve this I dont know.
