I doubt.....
As was said above they want them as cheap labour....
and from the other hand....Turks will never be able to become Europeans.
They have "many skeletons" in their cupboards.
Not that other nations don't have any, but the others try to clean them up, somehow.
Turkey still insists to deny to rectify the wrong done.
Never mind....
Europe can "survive" without the Turkey's presence...

I sure the European Union is willing to accept Turkey
or maybe not it depend.

I thinking it like here in the State with Mexico for cheaper labor.
Same with European for cheaper labor from Turkey

I sure there many other reason such as cheaper labor, oil, religion and trading.

So far i know that Turkey is part of European and Asia as continents.
So maybe it's can either go both way. So finger cross and will see what happen once the Union will decide.

In Cyprus we thought that letting Turkey in the EU would be good idea just to get rid of their occupation. However, we should never allow Turkey in the EU. Well perhaps someday when they change completely. They respect no rights for their citizens as they do not respect international law or their neighbors. They blocked Youtube today for an insultic video. What kind of country is that?!?!? Not European thats for sure. Freedom of speech is not something europeans take lightly. They kill journalists in Turkey to silence them and the public is ok with that. It will take 10's of years to change the culture to see these abuses as they are. The EU should stand apathetic to the abuses of Turkey. Not only they should let them in but they should place sanctions in place until they live Cyprus, recognise the Armenia genocide, give rights to the Kurds and christian religious minorities especialy the Ecumenical Patriarch and allow freedoms for the public.

FOr the most part, most Europeans do not want Turkey to join the EU. (I am a citizen of the EU by the way). Turks are not Europeans, as much as they like to pretend they are.

They originated in Central Asia and were a terrible threat to Europe during the Middle Ages. Turks invaded and often brutally treated their East European subjects centuries ago. Now, they want to be treated as one of us.

Turkey still occupies the northern half of Cyprus, a result of their violent 1974 invasion. Turkey's human rights record is atrocious.

All things considered, we can do without these people.

As a Turkish i don't care about entering to EU. If Turkish Goverment asks to citizens in Turkey many of people will say similiar answer. But our silly goverment still trying to enter EU.

EU is a religious and racist union and i don't want to be part of this as a Turkish Citizen. The important thing is being human in this world, religions, roots, race are just selfish passions of human.

I hope EU will never accept us as a member and i hope our goverment will understand one day that EU wants Turkiye just for cheap humanworkship.

Best Regards

Turkey's attempt to flow into the union isn't something extra desirable than a self humiliation. traditionally and culturally Turkey isn't ecu, actual Turks have been a serious danger for Europe for hundreds of years, subsequently i think of they gained't be admitted.
