I have two, my mother and my father.
Mom because in the early 60s she raised 5 of us kids while my dad was out getting drunk every night. This was after she put herself through nursing school as both her parents had died when she was very young. She persevered through 3 breast cancer operations, thyroid illness and is very active today.
My Dad because when I wad 11 he quit drinking when Mom threw him out. He educated himself. Lowered his dignity and took a job mopping floors. He eventually got a job at a well respected company in town and provided for his family.
Through it all both my parents loved each other and loved us. At my fathers funeral their were hundreds if not more who attended, a testament to the man he had become. Despite these difficulties my parents always put their children first. So my idols as corny as it may sound are my parents.

I have a few....even if having an idol is a sin....they are my idols for different reasons...
My Grandma....for raising 8 kids...who all graduated high school & college & are all successful individuals....herself only having a 3rd grade education....keeping 3-4 jobs at a time to raise them....& yet...being the wisest, most loving, most charasmatic person I have ever met...& putting up with an alcoholic Husband for 52 yrs.
My Grandpa....for ALWAYS being there with my Grandma....even though an alcoholic, he NEVER ran around on her...& ALWAYS had a job...where he gave her ALL of his money....& stayed with her for 52 yrs....
My Mother....for raising my sister & I as a single Mother...to the best of her ability...& always...being there for us....
God...for obvious reasons...
My children...for being the individuals that they are....
Not neccesarily in that order...
