It depends on the school district for a public school. For a private school it depends upon the policy of the school. I'm sure some school allows spanking, but it would be exceeding ly rare. What most schools do if a student is troublesome is to call his Mother or Father at work and tell them to pick up their kid since he is incorrgible. Schools stopped spanking kids when the laws changed and they were allowed to be sued. When I went to school in the 50's, they smacked the snot out of us.

They can here in Oregon. I got spanked in middle school by the principal for talking too much. It really hurt. He had a big paddle that had holes in it so he could have a better swing. It's been years but I think that now they have to have a parent permission slip now because things have gotten touchy at schools since I have been out. I am sure that they don't even touch kids now because of possible law suits.

Depends which state. At the last count it was banned in some 30 states while about a dozen, mostly in the South, still allow it (with parental permission) and in the rest it's permitted in some districts but not in others.

It depends on the ordinances in effect in your area.

BTW, is "shoked" anything like "shocked"? Perhaps your teachers should be spanking you a bit more...

No it isn't. They got rid of that practice way before I was born and I'm 39. Good thing too, 'cause if a teacher hit my kid, they'd blackout.

No, they would be Arrested for "Assualt", and the school district would be sued beyond belief, hitting is forbidden in U.S. schools.
