Why not remove the virus manually, go to desktop>search>files
and folders type in the name of virus click search. right click to
delete. also search disk.

if you got virus, and want to do system restore, first, disable the System Restore under System Properties >> System Restore >> check the box to disable the system restore, then OK to close the windows. Now you can safely restore the system. Once your system has restore, go back to the System Restore and remove the check box to enactive it again. What you did was, when you make the system restore, the Window will save the current state, so in case you changed your mind, and want to undo it, but since you have virus, and you don't want the computer to save the current state with virus, therefore, you don't want the computer save your current state.

If you do a system restore it will only take you back to a certain point and in this case i dont think its a good idea.


Use whatever virus software you have to either get rid of it completely or at least put it into quarentine..

Delete the virus from your virus vault in your antivirus program. It will get rid of it permanently

If you go back in system restore to before the virus was on your pc , then it follows that it will not be there

System restore will keep the virus there... sorry.


Try using another antivirus to get rid of it...

Sorry to say it stays there..you need to turn off system restore... then run your anti virus programme if this gets rid of it turn back on system restore and your problem should be sorted..only do this if you feel comfortable.. hope this helps
