Open nero and choose 'burn data CD'
Go to 'My Pictures (or wherever you have them) and type Ctrl+A to highlight all, then drag them to nero and burn. You can copy and paste them to nero also.

are you replace your HD because it stopped working or you're getting a bigger HD and want to keep the old one as the backup?

If the latter (2nd) is the one, you can have both HDs in your computer. They would be both connected through a big and flat ribbon data cable (if both your HDs are EIDE/ATA drives) or each one can be connected to its own much, much smaller and thinner cable (if yours are SATA drives), or you can have both, if your mother board (MB) supports them both. In either case, make sure one of the HDs sets to MS (Master drive), and the other is either SL (Slave) or CS (Cable Select). Look on the end of the drive, you'll see couple rows of tiny pins and a plastic thingie sits on 2 pins, this is the jumper. There will be a diagram printed nearby, follow the diagram to set your HD as MS or SL. Once you're done everything, turn on your computer, to go My Computer, you should see 2 local drives: C: (MS) and D: (SL).

Go to where ur pics are, highlight them all, right click on one of them, making sure they stay highlighted then choose, send to cd... and then open up my computer, open up your cd burner drive, and at the top left click write these files to cd.
