according to physics, if anything reaches the speed of light, then instantly it has infinite mass, so therefore, why doesnt light have infinite mass?

wait a minute....if onbjects gain mass as the accelerate,, then in order to acheve infinite mass you need to travel at infinite speeds. I know for a fact that light has a FINITE speed.
whats up with einstein ans his theory? I think hes wrong. I think the speed of light has nothing to do with anything related to time travel or the non-constant speed of time.

1. The speed of light is a constant, how would you get an infinite amount at the same time from different distances if the speed doesn't change?
2. Watch the movie KPAX, the theory is anything that ACCELERATES to the speed of light would have an infinite mass. Light travels at a set speed. Only its frequency changes.

First off, you need to understand relativity a bit better. It is not impossible for anything, even a massive object, to travel at the speed of light (a.k.a. "c"). However, for an object with any mass -- even as little mass as a single electron -- the energy required to ACCELERATE it to the speed of light is infinite. So there is no way to ACCELERATE an object WITH MASS to the speed of light. Since light has no mass, it can travel at the speed of light; in fact, it can't travel at any other speed except by moving through an optically dense medium (like water) where the speed of light is reduced.
There is, by the way, nothing stopping matter (with mass) from MOVING at or beyond the speed of light. Distant objects in space are receding away from us faster than light due to the expansion of space. But this motion was not created by acceleration; it was created by the expansion of space itself, so there is no speed limit.
Secondly, you seem to think the speed of light is infinite. It's not; it's very very fast -- 300,000 kilometres per SECOND -- but it's certainly finite. In fact, I have measured the speed of light in a laboratory using a laser and a rotating mirror, so I know for a fact it's not infinitely fast. So why doesn't light all arrive at the same time? Because it's not all sent at the same time.
Finally, what is light? Light is an electromagnetic wave. EM waves are generated by changing electric fields; that's how you make a radio wave, for example, which is just like a visible light ray but it's very very long. Closer to the visible spectrum, infrared light ("heat waves") are slightly longer than visible; then comes the visible spectrum (red, yellow, green, cyan, blue), then comes ultraviolet light, followed by high energy forms like X rays and gamma rays and stuff. It's interesting to note that EM radiation, including light, is not JUST a wave; it also displays properties of particles, and is sometimes called a "wavicle".

You misunderstand. The word "anything" refers only to "anything" that has rest mass. Light is considered not to have rest mass. Your word "instantly" is also an error. The increase in mass is proportional to the increase in speed. There is nothing instantaneous about it. As well, the notion of "infinite" amount of light is untenable, and no one claims that such exists.

Hi buddy. I hav read a lot many astonished ans below which are more or less a new ques. Here is my try:
Light travels at the speed of light - True.
In any defined time-interval an infinite amount of light can be recieved - True.
Now the answer to your question is that: It all depends upon the Response time or simply saying upon the duration of the "Instant" that you have used in the question. Also note that infinity plus infinity is also infinity.
So surely you can get wut U want!!!

There are two troublesome words, which red-flag your question: iinstantly and infinite.
Now, there can not be an infinite amount of anything.
BTW, light is just electromagnetic radiation between the frequencies of red and violet.

There have been scientific experiments where they have actually been able to slow down light.
Light from the Sun takes 8 minutes to reach Earth correct?

when light is emitted you get light. like the sun you have light everywhere infinite mass. then when the sun sets you get instantly no light. it goes infinite becomes zero.
