Well, first of all, you are treating her like a child instead of your partner. The two of you should be talking things over and deciding as a team who will do what....not one person telling the other what to do. Marriage is a partnership. Maybe if you started treating her with the love and respect a wife deserved, she'd be a lot more cooperative with you.

Because your wife is an independent human being and has the right to do as she wishes (albeit within the law)
I think you might be holding on too hard, show a bit of respect and you 'll get some back

She is your wife not your dog. What you are doing wrong is expecting her to do as she's told. Grow up, stop being an idiot and be grateful she's still with you.

You have to make everything you want her to do seem like it's her idea. Are you clever enough to do that? If not, try asking nicely.
P.S. My wife says she always does as I tell her except she does it in a different time zone and therefore may appear not to happen in my lifetime.

Neandethal man has just entered the forum. Women will never ever do what you want if you tell them. You could try and be a bit more subtle-if you cant do that, then i suggest you beg

What are you doing wrong? Well I think you know what your doing wrong, this is not cave man days or 1953, women have minds of there own and do what they want. So what you doing wrong is trying to control someone.

I'm not surprised if that's your attitude. I feel sorry for your wife, having to put up with you.

well, for starters...telling her what to do is wrong? Your question is a little unclear. Is it you that is telling her what to do? If it is and she is not doing what she is told, well hunni, good for her because telling her what to do..that's what your doing wrong..kinda answered your own question. Do you know that when you ask a question and it answers itself...that it's probable that you aren't too bright!
