If people would sound out the names like they were taught to sound out words in 1st grade, then they would be pronouncing your son's name correctly. I think it is a nice name, it kinda rolls off the tongue easily.

If you spelled it Ja'Naberain I think it would definitely be pronounced wrong, when I went to type it thinking of how it's spelled I typed it out wrong first. Trust me I know how people get with unique names..my last name is spelled just like it is said..but unless I compare it to Arnold Schwarzenegger, then they finally get it cause they are both Austrian names. Becareful when you name your child a unique name..it can backfire.

My mum had the same problem and simplified my name to Kianie. It was originally Kllarine, which was a hybrid name of an Hawiaan Goddess,
So I think it's alright to change his name if you think it will make his life easier later on.

I have the same problem with my own name....it is sooo simple...my name is pronounced the way it is spelled...
L-E-N-A.....Lee nah (basically)...like Lena Horne....(NOT named after her..was named after my Grandma's nickname!!!!)
I get called Lina....or Leana...or they just say Ms....LOL
It gets frustrating....but the best thing to think about...it is unique....so unless you don't mind correcting people...I would let them say it how they are comfortable...LOL...that is what I do...I am FOREVER correcting people on my name...UGH!...
I like the name though....& I hope I was pronouncing it right when I was reading it...LOL...

You just picked the wrong name for him. Whatever happened to George, William, Robert, Thomas, Gregory, Michael, etc.?

Don't get yourself a head and tongue ache. Just go for the second one. Or just change it and think of other simple names. :)
