you need a serious answer, first of all you need to tell your relative that there are no lethal/ dangerous types of spiders in Egypt like the tarantula etc.

Second, I can't deny that there are spiders here, but no more than any other country. I can not honestly remember the last time I saw a spider here. What you need to do is book a 5 star hotel, that should take care of the chance of finding any insects in your room. However if you intend on visiting ancient egyptian monuments such as tombs, temples etc. There will be a chance of seeing some spider webs every now & then, simply because they are huge ancient structures that are not cleaned every day. The floors do get cleaned, but you cant wash the walls that carry the history of ancient Egypt. So, if he/she is really scared of spiders, try to avoid tombs and temples, museums and outdoor venues should be fine.

Hope the above helps

THERE ARE LOTS OF REALLY REALLY DANGEROUS ONES THAT WILL KILL THEM!

At least if you tell them that they wont go and you wont spend your whole holiday trying to kill spiders on their behalf and hearing their shreeks of terror

That was by far, the funniest question I've heard here. Thank you. ;-)

Sweetie; just Google it.
