I sent a letter (a small letter size) with a 1st class stamp on it, to a nearby city on the 20th February and it stil hasn't been received. Is this normal.

I'd say not.

3-5 business days is generally the gap. I can send to a neighboring city almost next day, but I live in a large metropolitan area with a zillion postal workers. Take that into consideration.

Were 4 of those 11 days on the weekend? If it isn't there on Monday, I'd suggest contacting the recipient and letting them know you'll send a copy of whatever it was.

Wouldnt think so.they've upgraded the system several times since the days of the "Pony Express"1st class mail should be 4days max and that includes pick-up and delivery

funds shouldn't in any respect be despatched via the submit. you're taking your funds to the submit place of work and purchase a Postal Order / funds Order and submit that quite. you may also get a Banker's Cheque or aBank Draft from a economic employer. Then there are digital concepts attainable like transfers via Western Union.
