y= -2(x+5)^4
x=0 then y= -2(0+5)^4 = -2x625 = -1250 (X interception)
y=0 then -2(x+5)^4 =0 , x+5=0 , x= -5 (Y intercept)
y= -2x^4 +5
x=0 then y= -2(0)^4 +5 = 5 (X interception)
y=0 then -2x^4+5=0 , -2x^4= -5 , x^4=5/2 x=forth root of 5/2 (Y interception)

It's pretty simple actually. The x- intercept would have a value of 0 in y. For eg.(x,0). The situation is vice versa for the y- intercept.
So, find the x intercept first.
0=-2(x+5)^4
0=(x+5)^4
x=-5 The x intercept is -5.
To find the y intercept, put int the value x=0 into the equation. So, y=0. y intercept is 0.
The next question, y=-2(0)^4+5, y=5. The y intercept is 5.
To find the x intercept,
0=-2x^4+5
-5=-2x^4
5/2=x^4
Pls calculate x your self, I do not have a calculator with me. I hope this helps. :)

I won't tell you the answer...
But I will tell you that when your finding the Y intercept, X has to equal 0... because that means its an intercept
If your looking for the X intercept, Y has to be 0
So substitute 0 into either Y to find the X intercept, or X to find the Y intercept and solve the equation =D

For the y intercepts let x = 0
Thus y = 0 and y= 5
For the x intercepts let y = 0
Thus x = -5 and x = + or - 4sqrt(5/2)

X intercept means the value of x for which y = 0.
And vice versa.
