to me, female friendships seem much stronger than those of males. In my opinion they are also the ones filled with the most betrayal. I;m wondering, when it comes to female friendships, what are the solid rules that you have in terms of what's betrayal or not... in other words what things can a girlfriend do that is an automatic betrayal? what are the "YOU JUST DONT" things that you consider friendship breakers?...the unwritten rules of friendships?

I found it interesting and almost contradictory when you say that female friendships seem much stronger then those of males but then int he same breath you say they are the ones filled with the most betrayel.

I can only speak for me and my observations. Male relationships often seem to last longer then women. Men have more acquaintances and are able to ride over rocky bumps in friendships better. I am much closer to men emotionaly then women because you can't trust women. They flitter from one entertainment to the other and loyalty is measured in what it can do for them. Men seem to have this brotherhood thing where blood is thicker then whim.

So the thing you just don't do with a girl is tell her something that would humiliate you if it escaped after your relationship with her went sour.

One of the most important, is, never date another woman's boyfriend, or flirt with her husband. Never betray a confidence, or repeat anything unkind about her, especially her weight...Never break a promise, or say or do anything to embarrass her in public. Always return anything borrowed in good condition and when asked, never refuse to help. Lies to or about her are a kiss of death. I'm sure there are more, but I think that these are some of the most important in keeping female friendships. Best wishes

Perfect example why I don't normally hang out with other girls.
But I do have one or two good girlfriends so I guess I should answer this based on experience.I mean, of course you don't want to do the obvious, skanky thing like sleep with her boyfriend or something. Thats pretty bad but..at the same time, it kind of allows your friend to see that guys come and go..maybe that sounds warped. I guess you should never ever judge your best girlfriend.
