Baba O'Riley by the who. It's an awesome song and i think the drumming at the end of the chorus in particular elevates the song to higher levels. Not to take anything away from Roger Daltreys vocals but i just love that beat. I play it with my hands every time. lol. Keith Moon mightn't have been the best technically, and he may have been a bit repetitive, playoing different forms of the same beat, but he was the finest rock drummer i have ever heard because of the effort he put in and the feel he gave out.

Almost anything on the Violent Femmes first two albums. Victor DiLorenzo gets a lot out of a really simple 3 piece drum set and brushes.

'Song is over' by The Who; just listen to Keith Moon's rolling drum style at the end of the track.

I don't know about the best as this is a matter of taste to some extent, however the fastest and most amazing according to Guiness Book of Records has got to be this guy Mangini! Have a look at the video!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eb4LtqHWwmo&search=mike+mangini

really tough question but as a drummer looking at technicality only, i'd go with...

YYZ by Rush
the dance of eternity by Dream Theater
Stream of Consciousness by Dream Theater

I have a slight lean towards Stream but that's cause i just like the song lol
