Nope. And it's not legal here. Civil unions are available in most states, but not marriage.
I've personally witnessed more physical violence against gays in Australia than in the U.S. or in Europe -- mostly from men who are obviously intimidated for whatever reason or feel the need to prove something. They're a disgrace to Australia and give the country a horrible reputation in the rest of the world.
The flip side of this is that even though anti-gay people here are exceptionally vocal compared to other Western countries, the laws here are friendlier to gay couples than in the United States.

You ask extremely boring questions, not because you're an American, but because YOU are YOU.
So it's fine for you to be witty and topical, but God forbid you get some attention taken away from you when I ask a question in the gay section.

Im an Australian and it is not yet legal for same sex couples to marry here and if the real people have their way it never will.

its not legal here and you shouldnt use australian,gay and men in the same sentence.only australian and men should be in the same sentence.dont you know how to speak proper australian?
