You need to run some anti-malware software, like Spybot S&D, Lavasoft ad-aware, or emisoft asquared, all free. You also need to find and inspect the HOSTS file. it should only have one entry on the lines of 127.00.00.00 localhost. Anything else is probably added to misdirect you to sites other than the one you want. The hosts file can be a directory of real IP addresses against the text site names, and is only used to any extent in a network

Oooh, that sounds like a virus you have there. That's not good. If you don't have anti virus software there's plenty of trials to choose from (go to reputable people only, try the Microsoft website) and they'll be free for up to a year. If it is a virus that will deal with it quick sharpish, if it isn't a virus I haven't got a clue, other than have you changed any of your Internet settings?

I had this problem as well with IE. I downloaded the Firefox browser that is better because it does not have errors and you can open pages in tabs which is better. I have placed in the source box where you get a free download direct from Google. It is at the bottom left of the page.
