Elephants to mice as people to spiders

2007-03-03 21:38:39 · answer #1 · answered by EverybodyLovesPie 2 · 0 0

A mouse can lift 8 million times its body weight or something, therefore could whup an elephant.

Upon seeing a mouse an elephant will clamber atop some kitchen steps shreiking "thomas, thomas" which was later incorperated into Tom and Jerry cartoons as a headnod to the mighty pacyderm.

Luckily there have been no mice anywhere near elephants since the great fire of london wiped them out, leaving the elephant to roam the streets of london in a fearless state.

Elephants arent really scared of mice. It's an old joke because elephants are so big and yet they're afraid of a little mice. It's sorta like the elephants have good memory one (Although that one is kind of true)

Strictly speaking it is a myth, BUT as elephants are very sure-footed they like to know what they put their feet on is not going to move, therefore they get wary when something small is running around their feet incase it makes them slip...

I was always told as a child, by my parents, it was because they were afraid that the mice would run up their trunks and block them. I'm sure they were telling the truth.
