Who do you think is the worst premiership buy ever? There has to be one person who stands out most. Think about money paid, performance, goals, time with the club etc.

Obviously Shevchenko will be mentioned but its a bit early to say. I'd go with Veron.

Michael M was on about Ali Dia who played for Southampton for 30 minutes as a subsitute before being substituted himself!!!

For other worst buys how about this for a team:

Massimo Taibi (Man U)

Torben Piechnik (Liverpool)
William Prunier (Man United)
Igor Biscan (Liverpool)
Igors Stepanovs (Arsenal)

Sergei Rebrov (Spurs)
Sean Dundee (Liverpool)
Tomas Brolin (Leeds)

Marco Boogers (West Ham)
Florin Raducioiu (West Ham)
Andrea Silenzi (Nottm Forest)

P.S. I'm not trying to pick on any clubs in particular...I can't afford to supporting who I do ;-)

A couple of subsistutes as well:

Michael Stensgaard (Liverpool/Southampton)
Brian Pinas (Newcastle)
Bosko Balaban (Aston Villa)
Stephane Guivarc'h (Newcastle)
Marcelino (Newcastle)

Sorry Geordies for the subs!!

We at Newcastle specialise in signing donkeys for lots of money. Currently, a £10m international striker (Luque in case you don't know) cannot even get a place on the bench in front of a 17 year old youth team player! Prior to this, we already remember the international defender costing over £8m who went to the World Cup don't we? Yes kids, I give you Jean Alain Boumsong, a man now playing in the Italian second division. That is without even mentioning Marcelino, a £6m defender. He wouldn't play for about 6 weeks due to a finger injury!
Beat that people!!

with out doubt the infamous Ali Dia of Southampton, bought by potential of Graeme Souness after he gained a telephone call from somebody who claimed to be international participant of the year George Weah who claimed Dia replaced into his cousin and a Senegalese worldwide with a playing historic past that took in Paris saint- germain among others.drawing close for Matthew Le-tissier against Leeds giving a overall performance that extremely replaced into unbelievably undesirable.

Well I can't remember the name of the player but that player Graeme Sounes brought to Southampton. The one that was not even a real footballer, just a complete fraud. Funny thing is he nearly scored.

ak in bad buy also known as akinbiyi at Leicester, the ironic thing is he scored a brilliant goal in the striker cartoon in the sun, when in real life he struggled to score if he was standing on the goal line and the ball hit him.
