ok I have a few issues about my car and I would appreciate and help from people who know what the problem is, or have had the same problem. My car is a mercedes 350sdl about 175k miles on it but runs well
Issue #1 - I was driving around my city a little bit.. went to parallel park, before I did I had my car just idling there because I was tlaking to someone through the window.. then all the sudden all the dashboards icons flash for a split second and the whole car shuts off. I immediatley think this is an electrical issue. I turn the car back on and it turns on fine, and I park it.
Later I come back.. turn it on to leave. Im pulling out making a K turn, and in the middle of the turn.. same things happens. Seems like its happening when my car is idling or at very low rpm.. seems to indicate a depleted battery charge? But this confusing me since I drove a 3 hour trip today at constant 60-80mph, which means the battery would have been charging.
Anyone know what hte problem might b

Ok so my Issue #2 is a little odd. The fuel gauge seems to show E (empty) even though the tank is really at around 1/2 tank. It will then sometimes go back to the actual amount (1/2 tank) at a seemingly random time, and stay there for a while, and then go back to E. Sometimes it will sportatically move between the two for a while. I had never noticed this before - it seems to have just started happening today. Anyone had this happen to them?
Issue #3 - There seems to be a delay in my acceleration, especially from stop to go. Someone suggested to me I have my transmission fluid checked. Any other suggestions?

you could have got some bad fuel or the filter needs changing.i do not get diesel at hole in the walls,i go to a truck stop they sell more fuel so less water in the diesel. the engine will stall at idle with bad fuel and load on it like the a/c or the power steering when making a turn

You could have an electrical fault. the dodgy fuel gauge could be a stuck float as suggested or it could be there is a fault in the dashboard. This may be a bad connection somewhere. This could be related to the flashing dash icons.
If your battery is on the way out 3 hours at hiway speed will not cure it.

i can provide a partial answer... issue number 2... i have a 1990 230E 124 body, fuel gauge would also stay in 1/2 then go to E then back to 1/2 or 3/4... the float in the tank gets stuck and bumps in the road would unstuck it... we replaced the float...
