Turn on ignition on full & turn the heater control swith if it comes on making a noise its not the switch, I thought the heater matrix was under the bonnet on a fiesta, under the scuttle pannel??Check the water/coolant level in your radiator header tank and top up with twice boiled or distilled water. or heater valve! someone else had the same problem..
take a look at all these answers too, might help you,

You may have an air lock.

Set the heater to hot position.
Do the hoses that run to/from the engine and heater feel hot?

You could try running the engine with the radiator cap off, for a while. Squeezing those hoses may help circulate the hot water, and purge any air in the system as well.
