Hi, I was wondering how all of you would rate this drawing of Barbaro on a scale of 1-10. I am 15 and drew him for fun, it took me about an hour or so. Also, how much would I charge for an 8x10 graphite drawing of this kind?
Note: the photo is kind of fuzzy and dark

I would defiantly rate your drawing a big 10 even an 11!
Girl you got talent!
Keep it up....I am an artist myself and I also have a hard time trying to figure out how to put a price on my art work...
A drawing done in pencil would be cheaper than a drawing done in conte crayon or painted....pencil drawings are hard to take pictures of because of the shine in the graphite but conte has a flat color to it that photographs well.....In most lighting situations graphite shines so some of the drawing won't show in a photgraph....Conte is harder to work with as it is in stick form so its hard to sharpen to get a good clean line....But its the best for looks....I am sorry I go on and on when I am talking about art....I wouldn't take less then $30.00 for that drawing and if it is framed you should also remember to add the price of the framing....

a) see b b) if you want to make art, you don't need to double major. Just do it as much as you can when you are not distracted by your other interests. If You want to be an ARTIST, well then its irrelevant what we say or what you decide to do academically. Either you are or you aren't an ARTIST and that journey of finding out will be incredible. The creative urge exists now. But only when you begin to make work that has no reference, no interpretation, that even you question the reason or rationale for its existence can you begin on that journey. You may comeback to figurative , traditional visual art, but the adventure will have made you the true Artist within.

I would give it a 9.5 out of 10. But that's only my opinion.

The funny thing about selling them is that most lifelike artworks do not sell for much anymore. You could always try to sell one on ebay, and see how much the bids go up to.

That is a wonderful sketch, you have talent as far as I can see. I'm not a horse person so I don't feel qualified to comment on what someone would pay for your drawing.

Great job! You have real talent, I give it a 10. As for selling it, I wouldn't have a clue how much to charge. You might want to check with local galleries to get their opinions.
