Are there any portable power supplies to say use your laptop for a full day at the beach?

The only solution I can think of involves a car battery, solar panel and power inverter. A standard car battery with a 200watt inverter running an Acer Aspire 3000 lasted me aproximately 3 1/2 hours without recharging. It was at night so I can't advise on Solar panels.

Yes there are adaptors for your car cigarette lighter that transforms 12v DC to 110 AC. Or you could rent a generator for $30 a day at Home Depot. But that's some heavy lifting and a lot of noise.

Sure several companies make them.. in varying capacities.. one such is Tekkeon..

Thing is most of them generally cost as much or more than just getting extra batteries for your notebook.. (which is what i do)

I do question however whay anyone would want or need a computer at the beach though LOL

All I see is power converters thatll fit into car lighters or airplane outlets and so on, sorry...
