Well, its a good place for a middle aged single guy on a limited budget to get an ego boost. Other than that, I can think of a dozen or so more comfortable places to go.

Since it is where you came from. I believe that you probably travel from the North of the Pilipine to the South of the Pilipine. Anyway, there are other places out there that you can explore such as Iraq, Iran, or North Korea.

It is because, it always feels good to be home:

..... to eat all those food your taste buds have been used to, to see and hear the familiar faces especially of those you love, to be with friends who understand you without need for words, with whom just a wink and wave of the hand would be enough to make you break into laughter, to wake up on the beach and to run along long stretches of fine sands and trek the lush green mountains, to be with those with whom we can share our own brand of jokes and sense of humor.

Lastly, not only enjoy listening to music, but also be able to belt out a few songs myself. Hehehe

You can say that again darling. There are thousands of beautiful Islands to go, delicious foods (except those exotic foods), & affordable cost of living in Philippines. But it all depends on a person. (- -,)
