I do my best to deal with people who I encounter in a manner that is respectful of them as fellow human beings. I am constantly amazed at how many take that as licence to try and walk all over me. Am I wrong? Should I adopt the kill or be killed attitude? Should I become a GANGSTA?
This is a question designed to get you thinking about who you are, how you present yourself and how the world perceives you.

To begin with, you are supposed to treat people respectfully without expecting any thing in return. Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Therefore, If someone misunderstand your respect and starts walking over you, set up the limits and face him, explaining to him the borders he/she should not cross.

Becoming violent will not work in your interest. Violence begets nothing but violence. The least thing you can do is ignore the person who treats you back in a bad way.

You know what...that's bs. Honestly people don't give a dayum about anything but they dayum selves. Learn that now and you'll be better off. It would be nice if that's the way the world worked. But people are programmed to be self-centered and to get what they can get no matter the means, how they treat ppl or what they gotta do to get it. What a nice idea you have but just the fact that nobody answered yo question show that people just don't really think that way man. Sorry to break it to ya. But don't think that means you gotta get up and go gangsta on the world. Gangstas are the way they are because they grew up in a dog-eat-dog world more than you probably did so it fits their environment. You just need to do what you gotta do and do the best you can to be respectful but don't worry bout it too much if you ain't cuz that's just how it is. Live n learn youngin'

It's not UNREASONABLE to expect people to be respectful back to you-but in the real world not everyone has that opinion(a fact of life).

I take the approach that i have to be happy with myself and I'm not a disrespectful person(not my nature) if other people choose that way -that is there problem. In saying that though i don't let people walk all over me either - I respond in a nice way (it can be done and is affective to achieve the results you want)
