I didn't really make much of an effort at my previous garden but I'm moving now and would like some ideas as to how to manage the new one. It's pretty long though I'm not sure of the length as I haven't had to chance to measure it yet but it's not very wide. I love looking at pics of garden in magz etc and they look so beautiful and I'd like to get some suggestions as to how I can get my garden to look pretty as well as chic so I can host some late evening parties in the summer evenings. (I'm so excited! lol) Also some suggestions on the plants I can plant that will look pretty and will flower by summer if I plant them now?

Put some greenery or land cover in your garden...then add pretty Azalias or whatever flower you like. You can go to a garden center and they should be helpful in letting you know what flowers will grow best by summer. You can also add a few decorations to your garden. Maybe a couple of little statues. To border the garden...put some rocks...not the little pebble kind...but the larger ones that are the reddish and grayish colors..around it. Gardens are a homeowners pallet and you can do just about anything with them and make them beautiful.

Paint and decorate popsickle sticks, glue them together to make a minature fence, place them around the paremiter of your garden, use a variety of colors or purchase pre colored popsickle sticks, use cut out foam designs to glue on the fence once the fence is constructed.
