No one in Australia saw much of this eclipse.

In every state except Western Australia, the moon set this morning before the eclipse started, so if you're in any other state you could not have seen it at all.

Even In Western Australia, the partial eclipse did not begin until 6:30 a.m. Western Summer Time but, at Perth, for example, the moon set at 7:08, so there you would have been able to see only about a half-hour of the partial phase. Totality did not begin until 7:44 a.m. (AWST), more than a half-hour after the moon had already set. And no place else in the country saw even that much.

Patience, though. If you're on the east coast, you'll get to see the end of the total eclipse this winter, the evening of August 28th!

Most places in the world could view it but unfortunatly eastern australia lucked out and couldnt see it. But we'll get to see an eclipse in august

i'm from Ararat Victoria , a friend in Chile emailed me a world map shaded according to proposed visibility ( see attached link ) & unfortunatley victoria was right of line of sight with the western side of Australia viewing the eclipse at moonset

We went out to look for it in the US, but the clouds prevented us from seeing anything.
