I would start by advertising to the world about how beautiful the P.I. is especially place like Cebu, I would invite world leaders to hold conferences there so they could relax and talk in a warm comfortable environment- that way, hopefully they will put their guards down and talk peacefully.

the next thing I would do is create and enforce smog laws.

you asked a great question, it would require alot of time to answer...but this is a serious subject that the people of the Philippines need to think about before the next election.

I plan to go visit my Father who has been in the P.I. since he had a government position during the Aquino years.

If i am president of the Phil., I will first change the operating systems of the entire Executive Branch. Adopt systems that are successful globally with deviations fitting the culture. This will minimise corruption, eliminate bureaucracy, improve basic services, thus encouraging investments worldwide and local. I will also strongly move for local manufacturing of major products now being imported. Education and the environment will be my top priority to revamp.

1. get rid of all corrupt officials to end corruption

2. military head must not be influenced by any political side. must remain neutral. military intervention is the last thing on everyone's mind

3. Introduce new tax regimes. OFW will be charged more. Incentives are given to those people who are willing to return or remain in the country.

4. OFW policy abolished. Enough is enough. While supplying quality professionals to USA and Arab countries why dont we create jobs and retain them for our own good. People are not encouraged to work overseas.

5. Relax foreign ownership on local businesses. This will attract more FDI (foreign direct investment).

6. Free elementary education. Provide loans for those who are going to get a degree in college/university.

7. Clark (DMIA) will be declared as Manila's Low Cost Airport. Invite AirAsia to use Clark as a gateway to lucrative Pacific Rim market. Open sky policy to be introduced to encourage more airlines flying into Philippines or make DMIA or NAIA their hub.

8. Build more hospitals and rural clinics.

9. Introduce law to prosecute cheating Filipinas who milk white americans or foreigners for living.

10. Church role in politics is to be restricted. Let's make it known that they (priests) are the one who is responsible for our country's burgeoning uncontrolled population because they discourage the usage of condoms and condones family planning. Our country is overcrowded.

11. Charter change. it's the only way going forward.

Well you know Mrs. Misiu, I tried to Change the P.I but failed miserably, Much like how I've failed here on Yahoo answers - as you know I've pissed off alot of people for example :Binibinig Pilipina is just one of many and the problem now is that I can't reveal myself to anyone, because I'm sure someone will recognizes me and will think I'm a racist against Filipinos even though I have family there in the P.I.

1. Start sex education in all schools (public & private).

2. Legalize divorce

3. Legalize abortion

4. Put less money into OFW support and more money into local jobs. For local jobs I would focus on the tourism market as we need to get more money into the country in order to start creating more jobs.

5. Enforce tax payments (yeah, not sure how to do this. I am sure all presidents want to).

6.Set up extensive recycling programs to cut down on polluntion and depletion of natural resources.

7. Establish EOE rules for hiring therefore outlawing all employment notices that request age, height, maritel status, etc.

8. Stop the political killings. Since I am president, I will not support killers nor will I allow my cronies to kill my citizens. Invite international human rights groups to examine the situation as it stands in invite the international community to help me end this.

9. Break up the current generations of politicans. Get some new blood in office.

I like the answers of jett, azalea and dailou, but they all forgot one thing, that is emphasizing morality. I believe corruption will cease only when the people in the position have a great deal of moral values.
